Please make sure Automatic App Install is enabled on your iPhone's "Watch" app. Then, update your iOS App to v15 (or later). Hikingbook will be automatically installed on your Apple Watch.

We recommend upgrading to watchOS 10 or later for the best experience. The minimum system requirement is wathcOS 8; however, on watchOS 8, there might be certain data access limitations.

The Hikingbook watchOS App is not a standalone app. iOS App is required to run it properly. Please make sure your iPhone is paired with your Apple Watch, and your iOS App is launched. When recording your activities, you can use watchOS App to pause or stop recording, or add waypoints quickly.

Our test data shows that turning on low power mode in watchOS App could reduce up to 58% power consumption. If you want to maximize power-saving capability additionally, you can also turn on Apple Watch's lower power mode and theater mode. *See test details

Please make sure "Off-route Alert" is turned on in your iOS App or watchOS App (both in Settings), and notification is allowed for Hikingbook in your iPhone's Settings.

You can customize up to 10 POI names in the iOS App (Settings > Customize POIs). Then you'll be able to choose from your customized list when you add POIs on watchOS App. You can always edit waypoint content or add photos on your phone anytime you want.
